Sponsor Page:
In recognition for the sponsors that help Speedway Fire/Rescue.
This page has been a long time comming. Without the sponsors that help us provide safety at various motorsports events, the mission of Speedway Fire/Rescue would be severly limited. To all that have contributed either cash, or product, we give you a heart felt THANK YOU! Since this page is new, and I am working mostly from memory, it is very incomplete. If you notice that I have omited you (either a sponsor, or member) please contact me by the contact page. I will fix that as soon as possible. If you would care to become a sponsor, or increase your sponsorship, please use the contact page and let us know. We can never have too much help. This is an ever changing job, and new challenges keep comming up. Equipment wears out, things break, etc. Help is always welcome, and every penny counts. Thank you again.

Our first, and primary sponsor: I need to make mention of our very first and primary sponsor company. With out this one, SFR would never have come about. A-1 Fire Equipment, located at 125 Myrtle St. in Davenport, Iowa. They can be reached at (563) 324-9166, or fax: (563) 324-9167. Incidently, this company is owned by our Chief, Gilbert Short. They provide us with the fire suppression equipment that we use, as well as most of the extrication equipment. Originally, A-1 also provided us with the first fire/rescue trucks that we used. |

Vehicle Sponsors: Some of our members have built their own fire/rescue trucks to be used. This is no small venture in any sense of the imagination. Because we do not have any govenment backing, such as that of a municipal fire department, either volunteer, or paid, we must fund equipment by ourselves. We do recieve some funding from the facilities that we provide services to, however, that just covers fuel that is used for those services. We do not charge a fee for services, or do we get paid for working the events that we do.Safety Crew 4 is sponsored in part by and: And special thanks to Henke Family Chiropractic for his support! Safety Crew 13 has several sponsors also. They include: Batteries Plus in Davenport, AAA Muffler also in Davenport, and others. |

Personal Protective Equipment: The protective clothing we wear while working motorsports events keeps us from getting burned in a fire event. It is NFPA approved brush fire gear. It is considerable less expensive than full sturctural gear, and much cooler to wear while standing by for hours at a time. While it is less expensive than full bunker gear, it still isn't free. Most of us have gone out and aquired sponsors to help cover the cost of this necessary equipment. Since this page is new, it will take me a while to orginize how it will be set up. I would like to list the member, then list their sponsor (with a weblink if applicable). For starters, just from my (alleged) memory: Captain Roger Ellis- A-1 Fire Equipment FF/EMT James Greenhill- BMR Construction Captain Gary Grubbs- Jeff Walkers First and Last Lap FF Cassie VanDusen- VanDusen Racing FF Roger Jacobs- Gary Webb Racing FF/EMT Brian Turner- Isle Of Capri Casino LT.
