Some history of Speedway Fire/Rescue
Speedway Fire/Rescue was started over thirty three years ago, by our Chief, Gil Short. He saw a need to provide protecton at race tracks, since he is a race car owner too. Additonaly, it seemed like a good way to advertise his business, A-1 Fire Equipment. Although both the sponser company, and the Fire Crew have gone through some name changes over the years, the mission, and goals have remained the same.

Our Missions and Goals:
We are always looking for volunteers to join our crew. It takes hard work, long hours, and good training to become a member. After being accepted into membership, there is a one year probationary period, just the same as many municipal Fire Departments have. We wear a uniform, so that we are easily recognized, and to maintain a professional appearance. At the end of one's probationary period, you are expected to obtain your own personal protectve equipment. A sponser is reccomended, as the gear can get expensive. Training is usually handled in house, but there is outside training available too. No previous training or experiance is required, but of course, the more you have, the better equipped you will be to handle emergencies. Emergency-World.com Banner Exchange
